Island Wall Entertainment picked up the award for the best use of Rich Media in the Christian Media Awards 2009 for the Purity Ring iPhone App. The Purity Ring App was launched earlier this year to a blaze of publicity in the UK and US and this award really serves to show that viral ideas work on the iPhone platform.
It was announced that IWE have been nominated for ‘The Most Innovative Use of Media’ category at the global Christian awards, televised live on Premier TV in 12 countries.
The Purity Ring App created huge global media interest and was featured in every major UK daily newspaper, front page of the BBC website, NBC News in the US and was the 4th most globally ‘tweeted’ about subject on the day of launch.
IWE publish the innovative location finder app aimed at the music festival market – TentFinder. The App helps partying festival goers locate their tent using GPS stamping and the inbuilt compass. TentFinder is featured in The Guardian, Independent, The Times, Stuff TV and is voted top 10 Apps by Playboy magazine.
